What Can You Do?

When a young woman decides to leave life on the streets and her abusive environment, a window of opportunity is opened and must be seized immediately. SAS Surrey believes that the community can encourage this empowering decision by offering its support. If you are concerned and wish to help out, please let us know.

We have some new fundraising efforts to help SAS Surrey meet the goals of providing safe housing and support for those young women ready to make positive choices in their lives.
Our Monthly Donation Program is $25.00 per month on your Visa or MasterCard and goes towards assisting SAS Surrey with monthly operating expenses.
On January 2, 2003 SAS Surrey opened its Twice But Nice Swap & Shop, and all items may be purchased by a suggested donation. The Shop is located in the SAS Surrey offices and needs volunteers, donations for sale items including clothing for women, children and infants, gently used or "like new" baby furniture and accessories, jewellery, and small appliances, as well as display cases and shelving for smaller items.
Also in the Shop will be space available for rent on a weekly or commission basis for local business women who would like to invite clients for displays, special promotions, or someplace different to showcase their products. For more information or to sign up as a featured product promoter, call Cathy Gibbs or Archana Sharma at 604-576-4998.
SAS Surrey is also looking to open its first single mom's house for young women to live in a supportive environment while learning to make better choices both for themselves and their children. Our supporters can help us with donations of "like new" or gently used baby furniture, clothing, car seats, and toys for infants and children. Contact us at 604-576-1141 if you are able to assist us in helping more young women and their children.
