Kobus Möller Art Exhibition and
Charity Auction

SAS Surrey is thrilled to announce a formal fundraising event coming to Vancouver. Kobus Möller, renowned artist for his works depicting African wildlife and landscapes, is having an exhibition of his works at a downtown Yaletown gallery this September. Sponsored by BMW Canada Group, Mr. Möller has generously selected SAS Surrey as his Canadian charity of choice for an auction of one of his works at a special event at 7:30pm on September 11th as the highlight of his showing.

SAS Surrey will share the proceeds of the auction of one of Mr. Möller's works with a charity of his choice in his home country. Special thanks go to Johanna Oosthuizen of Namakwa Events for her assistance and planning of this event. Contact SAS Surrey for more information.

National Crime Prevention Centre
Community Mobilization Program Grant

SAS Surrey is thrilled to announce that we have been awarded a grant from the National Crime Prevention Centre's Community Mobilization Program to develop and deliver a pilot program to assist both the victims and the partners of the victims of sexual exploitation to recognize, understand, and learn skills to deal with the issues of substance abuse, violence, anger, and victimization that have affected their own lives. This grant will allow SAS Surrey to further assist young women in our community by not only offering help to them, but to the other people sharing their lives in order to strengthen their relationships and make better choices together.

Information about registration and eligibility will be posted on the ASK Learning Centre page as soon as they are available. Program is set to start September 8th, and seating is limited to 16 participants. Couples are encouraged to register, but single people are also welcome to learn new skills for themselves and their relationships. Call Linda at 604-576-1141 for more information and how to register.
