The infoforchange.bc.ca website use several 'internet tools/programs' that work together. Each 'tool' gives this website its different capabilities and functionalities.

News Channels

This features allows you to get the latest news on the internet. The news comes from news sources known as 'channels'. You can view, add or delete the channels you see to you liking.

Sympa mailing lists/listservs

The Sympa is a powerful mailing list program that is fully customizable. You can use it like the traditional majordomo mailing lists, or you can interact with it via the web as a posting/discussion board. Sympa can be setup to behave however you wish. You can receive the regular emails from the mailing lists or a weekly summary or no email and read messages online.

Online help is provided by Sympa by clicking on Sympa Help Button which is displayed at various places throughout Sympa.

Quickplace

This online collaboration tool is provided from IBM Lotus. It allows for instant collaboration between people who are working together. Quickplace allows you to  discuss ideas, co-ordinate tasks and meetings and, control document revisions, search for documents, chat online and more, all through a 128-bit encrypted connection to ensure security.

Online help in Quickplace can be found in the tool menu, located on the right hand side of Quickplace. Click "tutorial" for a short tutorial or "help" for more detailed assistance.

Survey / Polling Tools

The phpESP survey/polling tool provides simple and easy online surveys. Just click, type or choose your response for each question, then press the "Submit Survey" button. At the end of each survey we will release the results for you to see.
