Info for Change

British Columbia is changing. The community services sector is changing dramatically.

The Vision is a resilient community service sector adapting to change with full, reliable and factual information.

The Mission of this site is to support informed decision-making by volunteer leaders, staff, and program participants of community services organizations during a period of extensive Provincial Government policy change.

This site will assist

  • Volunteer and staff leadership and participants to factually understand provincial government policy, structural and funding changes.
  • Organizations to make self-directed decisions based on current, reliable, valid and non-partisan information from a wide range of sources.
  • Volunteer leaders and staff to contribute to and have access to information as to how other organizations are adapting to provincial government changes.
  • Non-sector organizations to acquire information as to how the sector is adapting to provincial government policy changes.
  • Information to be shared across the sector: all components of the community services sector will have access to information affecting all components.

The structure of this site is based on two goals

  •    JUST THE FACTS papers present factual information about changes in policy, structure and funding by the provincial government; and,
  • Interactivity, collaboration and feedback areas that support gathering of opinions, stories, discussions and other real life community happenings.

We encourage you to explore and use the site in any way that supports a “resilient community service sector adapting to change with full, reliable and factual information.”
