OTHER INTERVIEWS:

[ SEEING SKIP SPENCE ]

Alexander "Skip" Spence recorded the first true solo album of the psychedelic era in late 1968.
"OAR" featured Skip's bass, drums and guitar as well as vocals. This album has become somewhat of a cult favorite.
"OAR" was reissued on CD in June of 1999. A tribute CD to Skip and "OAR" was also released at the same time, entitled "MORE OAR", and featuring long-time Spence fans like Robert Plant and Beck.
