Members of the Hon Moon Chinese Athletic Club are doing the lion dance on Pender Street. This lion dance is leading the Benefit Parade held by the Vancouver Overseas Chinese War Refugees in 1938. Chinese refugees who came to Canada during this period were victims of the Sino-Japanese war just prior to the outbreak of World War II.
