Meeting for Parents/Guardians/Educators of Children with Special Needs
Please be advised that the January parent training meeting is coming up!
Has your child undergone testing for a disability but you are confused about the results?
Would you like to know how to interpret the findings?

January’s meeting will provide parents and teachers with a better understanding of how to read a psycho-educational assessment. Join us as we discuss the types of tests involved, how the diagnosis is put together and what the recommendations mean

Topic: Understanding Special Needs Testing Speaker: Dr. Marjolaine Limbos
Location: The Learning Center: 3292 East Broadway, Vancouver (Corner of East Broadway and Rupert – ½ block from the Rupert Skytrain Station)
Date and Time: Monday, January 18, 2010- 7:00PM to 8:00PM (1 Hour) Note: Following the presentation there will be a ½ hour social time for those who wish to stay.

This meeting is open to the public. RSVP’s encouraged but drop ins are welcome. This meeting is FREE!
The Arrowsmith Program is one of the most unique educational experiences offered to students with learning and attention difficulties in BC. It helps students with learning disabilities in the area of memory, reasoning, social perception, receptive and expressive language, fine-motor dysfunctions and related academic and social underachievement.

January 22nd from 1-3pm attend an informative afternoon at Vancouver's Eaton Arrowsmith School. You will have the opportunity to learn more about the Arrowsmith Program

The objectives of CH.A.D.D. Canada are as follows:

  1. To maintain a support group for families of those with Attention Deficit Disorders
  2. To provide a forum for the continuing education of families concerning Attention Deficit Disorders
  3. To be a community resource for information about Attention Deficit Disorders
  4. To provide educational programs to individuals within the fields of medicine and education so that they may more easily recognize children with Attention Deficit Disorders and, thus, provide appropriate treatment and develop appropriate educational programs for those children
