SUMMER 2014 UPDATE

Here's another page of new (old) CHOO Radio memorabilia to enjoy!

Scans by David Webster. Originals preserved by Eric Anderson and/or Tracy Roulston. (Please correct me if I have misremembered the sources for most of this material and given incorrect or incomplete credit.) Thanks to everyone for sharing.

(ABOVE) CHOO "GIFT CERTIFICATES" circa mid to late 1980s, used in some kind of CHOO promotional marketing campaign. Does anyone out there remember the details?

(ABOVE, LEFT) Map of CHOO Radio's ideal coverage area. Primary and secondary coverage. This was part of a CHOO Sales folder circa early 1980s. I say "ideal" coverage area because it is doubtful CHOO's signal ever performed this well. I never received CHOO much west of Yonge Street in Toronto. At night the joke was that the CHOO signal didn't even reach its master control room/studio! (ABOVE, RIGHT) Also from same Sales brochure/folder.

(ABOVE) Another photo from the 2012 Annual CHOO Radio Reunion Lunch. Bill, Eric and Brian foremost, front and centre. Brian is wearing the CHOO toque Jay Mandell gave out at a previous lunch reunion several years earlier.

(BELOW, LEFT) Another page from the same CHOO Sales brochure, circa early 1980s.

Well, that's all for this update, celebrating 5 1/2 years online.
