Swing Patrol
Tunes from the New Orleans jazz repertoire
and the 1930s/40s small groups

Scott Robertson's Swing Patrol, a trio, quartet or quintet, available seven days a week, keeps swing alive! The band's name comes from a second world war Canadian Auxiliary Services orchestra of the same name. Robertson's father was one of their overseas truck drivers. Scott grew up listening to his Dad's stories of the fabulous musicians and named the current band in their honor..

Benny and the Good Men
Keeping the musical traditions of the roaring twenties - and earlier - alive

Benny & the Good Men serves as a tribute to the early traditional jazz of Chicago and New Orleans that flourished prior to the Swing Era of the 1930's. Under the direction of clarinettist/saxophonist Benjamin MacRae, the band strives to produce an authentic sound that hearkens to the great bands that the King of Swing, Benny Goodman, listened to during his early years in Chicago. The band consists of Robert Crews on guitar/banjo, Jonathan Baylis on double-bass, Strauss Whiteside on piano, Michael Radnai on trumpet/cornet, and Benjamin MacRae on reeds/washboard, with all members being able crooners. Benny & the Good Men is the perfect band for any event, and is available in multiple configurations in order to suit each venue. From duos such as clarinet/saxophone and banjo/guitar, clarinet/saxophone and piano, to a trio with bass, a quartet/quintet or a full hot jazz sextet, featuring cornet, clarinet/saxophone, piano, double bass, guitar/banjo and drums, Benny & the Good Men is able to play every venue desired, from a small corner in a restaurant providing background music, to providing mainstream entertainment and dance music. Due to the customizable nature of the bands personnel and size, the band is able to fit in most budgets, as the price is set depending on how many members the venue requires, among other factors.
