Keynote Speaker

We are delighted to have John Kennedy open this year's summit as our keynote speaker. John is a retired broadcasting executive with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Since his arrival in the Lower Mainland in 1990, John has provided leadership to both his profession and his community.

During his 36 years with the CBC, John served for ten years as head of Television Drama for the English Television Network. In 1990 he accepted a five year position as Regional Director responsible for Radio and Television programming operations in British Columbia.

Since his retirement in 1995 John has been an active volunteer in both the seniors and arts communities. His contributions include six years as a board member with the 411 Seniors Centre, six years as Governor of the Leon and Thea Koerner Foundation, and two years as a member of the North Shore Arts Commission.

Interest Group Sessions

With over 30 seminars to attend, you will have a chance to listend, to speak, to question, to share your experiences, to laugh, and most of all, to enjoy yourself.

Six of our patrons will join with more than 50 other knowledgeable and passionate Presenters carefully selected to ensure each of your sessions is outstanding. To view the complete list of presenters, please click here.

Interest Groups will be offered in three sessions: Saturday morning from 11:00am to 12:15pm; Saturday afternoon from 1:45 to 3:15pm; and Sunday morning from 10:00 to 11:45am. Each session will offer ten concurrent workshops. Please click here to view the Interest Group Schedule.

Meals

What is a conference without wonderful food to share with new acquaintances and long time friends? Bring your appetites because two continental breakfasts, two buffet lunches, and a gala dinner are all included in the conference.

Gala Dinner

A highlight of the Summit will be the Gala Dinner held on Saturday evening. Entertainment, skits, music, and awards will provide for an exciting celebration.

Trade Fair

A special Summit Trade Fair will be set up throughout the two days. Registrants will have the opportunity to collect information and speak with specialists in a variety of areas relating to the conference. Highlights
