Works to lessen the cultural gap between immigrants/refugees and existing health institutions through innovative outreach projects and service oriented programs. Offers culturally appropriate direct services including cross-cultural facilitation, counselling, and health education programs, and promotes cross-cultural competence among health care providers. Current programs focus on African, Latin American, and Vietnamese communities.
