Description:
The I.S.S. offers services to all major immigrant groups in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Services are mainly offered in: Temporary Accommodation, Settlement Services and Training in English & Job Skills. This society has been involved with the 411 multicultural projects in the past. They agreed to come to the centre to facilitate training for volunteers. The Settlement Section of I.S.S. can provide settlement counsellors for the following groups: African, Burmese, Eastern European, Kurdish/Arabic, Middle Eastern, South Asian, Vietnamese and Former Yugoslavian.
