My e-mail works fine. I regularly get e-mail from people. I also get SPAM.

My Internet Service Provider (ISP) receives THOUSANDS of SPAM (unwanted) e-mails everyday. These are sent to various users (myself included) on this system. It is annoying to get dozens of SPAM e-mails and so my ISP setup a SPAM deletion service for all the users. SPAM is deleted. Due to YOUR setup they might delete a desired e-mail from you also.

If some people are wondering why I have not seen your e-mail it may be due to a problem with YOUR e-mail setup. My ISP is knowledgeable about computers. You must setup your e-mail properly or a lot of people (customers included) won't get e-mail from you. I can not setup your computer properly before you use it, you must attend to this yourself.

Often people have their e-mail setup in the office for them by someone else - so I'm not assigning blame, just giving you some tips. Be sure you have set your computer's "Automatic Updates" to "ON". Microsoft will sent you "fixes" to correct most security flaws. Be sure you have one (or more) Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware programs running. Have your system setup by someone who is competent and certified to service computers. You legitimately purchased the computer and software - you should expect competent service.

For detailed instructions about fixing your e-mail visit this info site. My tips below will probably suffice for most people writing me.

Here are some of the problems with your e-mails:

Problem Explanation of the trouble

"No real name" Your "From:" header doesn't contain a person's or company name. Spammers often use no name or numbers in their name. Legit companies (often) use real people's names or the company's name. Be careful if you are using a Hotmail account to include a name. Test your e-mail by sending YOURSELF an e-mail. Your name must show up, not just the site-address it was sent from. If you can't even send yourself an e-mail don't expect me to see it either.

"Forged" You are using a third party e-mailer (E.G.: Hotmail) that was not working correctly or you have a virus/spyware problem that has corrupted something. If you re-direct your e-mail from where it is sent to somewhere else before sending it to me (anonymity) it will be forged and rejected as SPAM.

"Forged MUA" Your Outlook program is corrupted OR the e-mail is from a Spammer and the program they use is pretending to be MS Outlook. If your software is not functioning properly e-mail MIGHT not get through on this end (or to many of your customers - it is in YOUR interest to fix this). I get a few e-mails per week in the current job market. My computer works fine, please fix yours.

"Missing Headers"    Headers normally included (E.G.: "From:" , "Subject:", etc.) are not being included (or are being deleted) for some reason.

"Broken E-mailer" Some people are either clicking "SEND" a dozen times or their e-mailer has some problem. If many e-mails arrive with the same time and date it is suspect. Please don't click "SEND" multiple times because people don't answer your e-mails - there is something else wrong and doing so will not fix it.

"Date In Future" Please ensure your computer has the correct time and date set. Spammers will set a future time and date since they relay their SPAM and don't want it to appear too old. This trick is caught and results in the SPAM being deleted. Be sure you have AM and PM correctly set.

"No Description" If you have a job the description you enclosed was not sent for some reason. When e-mails arrive with just one line ("call me now"), lots of graphics or "signature" area and no content they are not accepted as a job description.

"Spammer" You have been sending annoying / junk e-mail to many people and got yourself banned from the Internet for your behaviour (or using broken software, having viruses send e-mail for you, clicking "SEND" many times). I can't undo the trouble you caused.

If you legitimately purchased your Microsoft Operating System them simply Click on "HELP" and Microsoft will be glad to assist you online. Contact the place where you purchased your computer to ensure that "purchased" software was used. They can provide you with Tech-Support. If I can't read your e-mail I can't help you and you risk loosing a lot of customers too.
