It began in the 60s, when some of us were hippies,
And some of us were tiny seeds
A new generation, of tie-dye and peace signs,
Together in sweet harmony.
We're older and wiser now, (some more than others),
But there's one thing I clearly see
The music helped shape us into who we'd become,
And who we're still gonna be.

Mama I'm goin' to Grapestock, up north, that's where I'll be
I've turned off the cell, shut down the email,
It's nature-lovin' time for me
I'm goin to Grapestock, to savor the sun and the moon
And when the evening comes we'll be headin' down the road,
To the Old Western Saloon.

It ain't no use, I'm just sittin' by the window,
Cuz lately it's just lazy me
And at 8:05 I'll be seeing Mr. Blues, naked if I want to be.
He'll come in the morning, he's a little indifferent,
But someday, hey grandma you'll see
When you hail from Omaha, the changes fall on you,
And there's nowhere you'd rather be.

Grandma I'm goin to Grapestock, up north, that's where I'll be
I've turned off the cell, shut down the email,
It's nature-lovin' time for me
I'm goin to Grapestock, to savor the sun and the moon
And when the evening comes we'll be headin' down the road,
To the Old Western Saloon.
