Are you hung up?
Have you had deep disturbing doubts about both the need for and effectiveness of projects motivated by global warming?If so I offer this as perhaps a reason you decide if it is valid and act accordingly.
We wonder, how is it that when any North American can by direct observation plainly see the abundance of goods in any of our large stores that technology has made available for our usage that they can still prate on parrot like that we will soon run out of the same? Could it be due to some subliminal influence upon our thinking such as the:
Smith and Malthus were political economists of the bygone hand tool era and everyone has heard of Darwin. Some two hundred years ago T. Malthus made astute observations upon which other like men based their life’s work their findings became part of the curricula of all of our educational institutions and the result was the creation of a mind set that included the impending peril of over population which would and result in scarcity of consumables which would in turn lead to wide spread famine. These were completely valid conclusions for the time. I repeat for the time, but and I must include “Yoo Hoo wakey wakey” for that time has passed. These were hand tool era people and this is now the machine age.
This CD can be used to update your thinking BEFORE you go about trying to solve social problems things are warming up which can jeopardize our water supply droughts have destroyed many past civilizations and can do the same to ours, but only if we let it happen as we now have the technology but it MUST be directed by those who understand it. there is no time to loose.
It is for the reader to decide if or not these antiquated conceptual biases that stem from these people are subliminally influencing the actions our elected representatives, and our appointed business leaders, our social change activists and Gurus (all subjected in the same educational system) are taking as they to go through all sorts of antics in order to prevent or forestall predicted catastrophic events that simply need not happen due to the advent of technologies which were not included in the thinking of those whose mind sets were imprinted upon them such as Malthus, Darwin, Smith. Meanwhile as the cliché goes “the world is going to hell in a hand basket.” If we are to avoid humankinds very real hazards such as widespread drought which will likely result from global warming (regardless of its cause be it the sun heating up our entire solar system or human producing gasses) Our water supply must first and foremost be provided for there is no other need which even comes close to this. Surely all sensible readers will agree. So what actions are to be taken?

struggle for existence which everywhere goes on from long- continued
observation of the habits of animals and plants, it at once struck me that

a new species. Here, then I had at last got a theory by which to work".

This often quoted passage reflects the
significance Darwin affords Malthus in formulating his theory of Natural
Selection. What struck Darwin in an essay on the Principle of Population (1798) was Malthus's observation that
in nature plants and animals produce far more offspring than can survive, and
that Man too is capable of overproducing if left unchecked? Malthus
concluded that unless family size was regulated, man's misery of famine would
become globally epidemic and eventually consume Man. Malthus' view that poverty
and famine were natural outcomes of population growth and food supply both
Darwin and Wallace at similar theories of Natural Selection after reading
Malthus. Unlike Malthus, they framed his principle in purely natural terms both
in outcome and in ultimate reason. By so doing, they extended Malthus' logic
further than Malthus himself could ever take it
and their trip was ingrained
into the mind of everyone who has been to school.
