WHY SUPPORT THE WORLD FEDERALIST MOVEMENT ?

Selfhood, neighbourhood, nationhood, ….planethood.  The way to save our endangered world from war and suffering is for each of us as members of a world community to become participants, spiritually and politically, in creating its government.

                                                                                                - Dieter Heinrich

The world's legal and political institutions have not kept pace with the changes transforming international society.

Though individual citizens have a stake in the outcome of world affairs, they have few powers of decision-making in the world community.

The World Federalist Movement continues to champion step-by-step improvements in democratic governance in the areas of international human rights, international trade, the global environment and prevention of world conflict.
