Kyoto Protocol - What to Do


  1. Familiarize yourself with the background information on Kyoto.
  2. Compose your letter.
    Congratulate the Government for their part in supporting the Kyoto Protocol.
    Share your concerns about the potential upheavals caused by climate change.
    Call upon Canadian authorities to announce a full package of initiatives to comply with the Kyoto Protocol by 2012, including:
    • Clear targets and timelines
    • Emphasis on regulation and incentives rather than voluntary measures
    • Mandatory targets for large industry in keeping with their 50% share of emissions.
    Pledge your personal commitment to energy conservation.
