Get your Group Connected!

Here's an opportunity to set your group up for sustainable Internet use. If your group is registered, has a budget of under $500,000 per year and is not yet using the Internet, it may be eligible for some help.

"604 Connect!" is an exciting new initiative to help 200 Lower Mainland non-profit groups get connected to the Internet. We know how important voluntary sector groups are in making this a great place to live - and we want to make sure that community based organizations don’t get left behind in the rapid movement toward an information and technology based society.

Connecting your group to the Internet will mean better access to government and funding resources, the ability to exchange ideas with similar groups, being able to communicate with members about your activities and engaging in public discussions about issues of importance to your organization.

Here is what "604 Connect!" is offering:

If your group could benefit from this, we need your application as soon as possible. You can fax or mail back the form we have provided. If you don't have all the information at hand, send us what you have, or call us and talk about it. The first phase of the project is currently underway and applications are now being accepted until May 25, 1999.

If this sounds interesting but you are not sure whether an organization is eligible, call us to discuss the details at 257-3806.

We look forward to helping your group benefit from the potential the Internet has to offer.
