THINGS Y0U CAN DO
- Use more fresh foods when possible highly processed or "convenience"
foods are more expensive, generally less nutritious and use more energy
to produce
- Buy foods with as little packaging as possible
- Support local food co-ops, farmers markets and community shared
agriculture
- Inform yourself on food and agriculture issues
- Try growing your own vegetable garden
- Support businesses that buy locally grown foods
- Let your food retailer know what you want to buy and why
- Support breastfeeding locally produced, unprocessed food
with no excess packaging!
