The only complication I see is the character set. Squirrel Mail seems to send messages out using the ISO-8859-1 char set. When it is picked up in Pine, it reports reading it through US-ASCII char set. Though I don't foresee a serious problem, it might be convenient to keep everything consistent and use the US-ASCII char set (since this is the default setting in Pine and I'm assuming we can adjust the default in Squirrel).
