VCN Software Licence

The Vancouver Community Network (VCN) has developed a number of original pieces of software for use on its system. This software represents a significant amount of work on the part of its volunteers.

However, in keeping with the spirit of sharing and cooperation that has characterized the Internet, the VCN makes this software available to any non-profit venture that would like to use it. It does so, however, on these terms. By using the VCN's original software you agree to the terms.

1. The VCN is not responsible, in whole or in part, for any damages resulting from the use of its software. Similarly it does not make any guarantees as to the reliability or appropriateness of its software. Full liability is assumed by the user.

2. Any non-profit venture wishing to use the VCN's original software is welcome to do so free of charge. However, the venture is requested to notify the VCN Web administrator at [email protected].

3. Acknowledgement of the VCN's software, with a link to the Vancouver CommunityNet main page, is made somewhere on the user's system.

4. Any other organization or individual wishing to use the VCN's original software should contact the same address.

Summary:

If you want to use our software, go right ahead. However you can't make money off it, we won't accept any blame if the software goes wrong or damages your stuff, and we want to know that you're using it. Thanks!
