                                Board Meeting
                              November 12, 1997

Present:  Penny Goldsmith, Lily Fu, Neil K. Guy, Katharine Shipley, Jack
Vickery, Greg Sturk, Margaret Coates, Larry Kuehn, Carolyn Saunders, Ryan
Hung.


1.      Agenda.

M/S/C           That the agenda be adopted.

2.      Minutes.

M/S/C           That the minutes of the October 14, 1997 meeting be adopted.

3.      Financial statement.

M/S/C           That the financial statement for September 1, 1996 to
August 31,1997 be approved as presented.

4.      User Agreement.

M/S/C           That a section (h) of part (2) be added to the user
agreement that says:

"I will not use the services of the Vancouver Community Network to promote
views or access to groups promoting views which are discriminatory or
hateful according to the Canadian Human Rights Act and/or the BC Human
Rights Code.  I understand that the Association may, at its absolute
discretion, determine whether or not I have violated this rule and decide
to terminate my account."

Carried unanimously.

Note:  All future user agreements will havve this clause in it.  Each
current user of the system will be sent a personal email regarding this
addition.

5.      Report of nominating committee.

The committee has nominees for the board positions.  The report will be
presented by Margaret Coates.
