Vancouver English Country Dance events are held at two venues:
We dance on designated Sunday afternoons/evenings, with a short break for potluck snacks at half-time. If you're new to English Country Dance, we strongly encourage you to arrive in time for an introductory session that starts 20 minutes before the dance.
Admission is $15.
Dances are lead by Peggy Roe and/or Heather Webster, and occasional guest callers from out of town.
If you're interested in calling or playing in the band at one of our "open stage" dances, contact Peggy Roe (604-522-3500).
Vancouver ECD provides a service that reminds you by email of the above dance events (and possibly others), generally about a week beforehand. For instructions on subscribing or unsubscribing, please click here.
Save the date! Vancouver's 8th biennial English country ball will be held Saturday, March 14th, 2020, at the Scottish Cultural Centre. It will feature our favourite band, The Tricky Brits, from Seattle, and dance master Joanna Reiner Wilkinson, from Philadelphia.
As usual, we'll also have a welcome dance with local band and callers at the same hall on the Friday night, March 13th.
Watch this space for registration details.
