Team Vancouver e-news  for March 1, 2006

2006 Uniform Design

The 2006 team Vancouver uniform design was chosen Sunday, February 19th at Celebrities Night Club. Six designers created eight competing concepts for this year’s uniform. Associate team athletes modeled the designs in a show staged by Michael Mew in a locker room setting.

Isabelle Swiderski of Out For Kicks created the winning entry. Thanks and congratulations to all entrants: Diana Newman, Glenn MacDonald, Phil Russell, John Hatoum and Steve Sahlstrom.

Isabelle’s design concept will be used to develop the T-shirt and Jacket that Team members will wear into the Opening Ceremonies in Chicago and Montreal.

Thanks to the models, designers, Celebrities, Chris – the cute bartender in the photo
– and to everyone who volunteered and participated in selecting this year’s uniform.
