Future Games
The Federation of Gay Games (FGG) and the Gay and Lesbian International Sport Association (GLISA) are planning several future sporting competitions. Most of these events are in the very initial stages of planning. However, Team Vancouver would like input from it's members in order to understand the interest level and support for these events. In particular, proposals which may involve hosting events in Vancouver.

Medical Team Update
Fundraising efforts for the first ever Medical Team which will provide physiotherapy and massage therapy services to our Team members in Montreal, is off to a great start with $659 raised at the last Trouble-T dance. Thanks Martini Presents!!!
However, we still need some more money to cover the cost of equipment, room rental and supplies. Any donations would be greatly appreciated. Official sponsorship status at the $1000, $2000 and $5000 levels is also available. Bursary Update
The Board of Directors of Team Vancouver Board is happy to announce that 8 people (4 men and 3 women) will receive financial assistance to attend the the Outgames and Gay Games.
Over $3600 was raised, thanks to the hard work and efforts of:
- Bill Monroe who hosted the monthly "Shake Your Can" fundraiser at the Oasis Pub this past year with a host of talented local performers
- Pat Hogan and volunteers who raised money over the past 2 years at Sounds & Furies concerts
- Luxy Bistro Restaurant who sponsored one person for their entire costs to the Outgames
Creating a bursary fund to help our members is a first-ever for Team Vancouver and we hope to be able to continue this legacy in the years and games to come. |
