A call to our office will provide you with assistance from one of our Information and Referral Specialists. We will provide you with an up to date directory of all the community resources available. If needed, a staff person will do a home visit to help you assess the type of help you require. If needed, we will link you up to the services that best meets your needs. Our Information and Referral Specialists are unique in their understanding of and sensitivity to the needs of people seeking help and information.

Senior Support Staff will assist you in accessing services if needed by filling in forms and making calls on your behalf to eliminate the number of calls you have to make to access services. Our staff will also revisit you later in the year to see that the services are still meeting your needs.

Our I & R specialists are available, not to solve inquirers' problems for them but to empower inquirers to understand and solve their own problems. Our I & R specialists help inquirers identify resources that meet their needs. I & R specialists are careful not to overwhelm inquirers with a myriad of options.

I & R specialists help inquirers prioritize their needs and build a action plan. I & R specialists offer support and information, which give inquirers the confidence and resources to begin to solve their own problems. I & R specialists may advocate on behalf of a inquirer who require extra support to access services and problems.

Senior Support Services provides a one-stop access to the many services and programmes available and will assist and or advocate for seniors in accessing these services. We will provide you with an up to date Directory on all the services available in your community so as your needs change you will know what options are available to meet your changing needs.
