Whalley Community Initiative Projects (WCIP)

Gardens and Beautification

Gardens and Beautification transforms visibly neglected land into a valuable avenue for the revitalization of the entire Whalley community. This project is a direct community development initiative providing cooperative living within the neighbourhood and creative endeavours to beautify the area. Local residents are encouraged to assume collective responsibility and generate creative projects that will have a positive effect on community aesthetics'' and pride. The process involves diverse community members working together while gaining confidence in their ability to participate in community development work.
