Rapid technological change is generating a rising tide of E-waste around the world. Producer responsibility is the most practical way to solve the problem.

  • (05.Nov.02) Action Alert: Help End Canada’s Dumping of Toxic E-Waste on Developing Countries!

  • Ask your local Council to take a stand. Local communities shouldn't have to clean up after the electronics industry.

  • Keep your old equipment in storage. In the short term, the best course of action is to store obsolete electronic devices in a safe place until producer-responsibility programs are in place. If you have no alternative, phone the BC Recycling Hotline for help: 1-800-667-4321 (in the Lower mainland dial 604-732-9253).

  • Send a message to the computer industry! Go to the Grassroots Recycling Network and send a message to industry leader Michael Dell. Tell him you think he should 'Take it Back, Make it Clean, and Recycle Responsibly'!

  • Sign on to the Computer Take-Back Platform. Add your support to the worldwide call for Extended Producer Responsibility.

  • Write a letter to Canada's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of the Enviroment
