OUR MISSION
We respond to the employment needs of the Downtown Eastside and Strathcona communities in Vancouver to:

• Improve employability - help make residents more job ready

• Increase employment - help residents find jobs

• Ensure appropriate employment supports - help clients create an environment and circumstances that facilitate looking for, finding and keeping appropriate jobs.

WHAT WE OFFER

• One-on-one career counselling

• One-on-one employment counselling

• Job board

• Internet for job search

• Computer skills training

• Job search related computer and fax use

• Daily newspapers in Chinese and English

• Information on educational upgrading

• Referral to government sponsored training

• Referral to volunteer experience

• Volunteer opportunities at the Skills Connection

• Information on self-employment

• Computer access

• A client support centre

• Assistance with connecting to other agencies in the Downtown Eastside and elsewhere
