PURPURIT is a Finnish Canadian Folk Dance Group sponsored by the Vancouver Finlandia Club.

The group's name is derived from "Purpuri" or potpurri which, in Finnish folk dance terms, is the name given  to long ceremonial dances which probably originated as a series of small dances popular during the second half of the 19th century.
