PURPURIT is a Finnish Canadian Folk Dance Group sponsored by the Vancouver Finlandia Club.
| The group's name is derived from "Purpuri" or potpurri which, in Finnish folk dance terms, is the name given to long ceremonial dances which probably originated as a series of small dances popular during the second half of the 19th century. |
