KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS STATE CONVENTION

The 101st Knights of Columbus B.C. and Yukon State Convention, now moves to Richmond. It will be held at the Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel, Richmond BC commencing April 25 to April 28, 2012. The hotel is conveniently located on Westminster Highway, less than three miles from Vancouver International Airport and just a twenty minute drive south from downtown Vancouver.  

With its 131 Councils and over 11,500 members, all of whom will be represented at the Convention.  The Knights of Columbus founded in the United States in 1882 by the Venerable Michael J. McGivney, is a Chartered Fraternal Benefits Society with religious, social and intellectual fellowship. It provides financial security to its members through an insurance program that has one of the AM Best highest insurance rating in the world. Members and their families are involved in educational, charitable, religious, and social welfare works.

The State Convention is an annual event to foster better working relationships between all regional districts of BC & Yukon. The Richmond Councils of the Knights of Columbus comprising District 23, have been active in promoting the ideals and principles of the Order and are well equipped to take on the tasks and responsibilities to make the convention a success. 

The Richmond location will serve as an ideal venue for forthcoming State Conventions for the next five years.
