Circle, #5269, is holding our 2nd annual spiritual and recreational retreat to Camp Capilano in North Vancouver

The aim of the retreat is to teach youth to be better witnesses to Christ, the biggest component of the weekend is fun and recreation.  At camp, there's an outdoor heated swimming pool, basketball court, indoor wrestling, games and, for those that want to go, guided hikes. The highlight is our Saturday night bonfire.

The cost is $50/camper or $80/group of 2 brothers/cousins, etc. The fee covers all meals, accommodations, hot showers, pool lifeguard supervision, etc.

Knights of Columbus District 16 held their Annual Catholic School speaking contest April 14th 2012 here in Kitimat. The Students where chosen on a local level and then came to participate in the regional level. 3 Students from Prince Rupert, 3 Students from Terrace, and 3 Students from Kitimat. The conpetion was excellent and one of the better ones in years. The Winner this year was Bianca Reniero from Terrace second was Elizabeth Sullivan also from Terrace Viritas School. Third was Brylee Dos Santos from Kitimat St Anthony School. The Judges where highly impressed with the quality of the presentations. Thank you to all Students for participating in the contest

Michael Yeo, Immediate Past State Deputy, Knights of Columbus British Columbia and Yukon State Council, presents a cheque for $5,000 from the Knights of Columbus British Columbia Charity Foundation to Lisa Rosales, RCH Foundation Major Gifts Officer (left), and Carolyn Golat, Registered Nurse Manager, RCH Interventional Cardiology. The donation will go towards RCH Foundation’s $2.8 million Multipurpose Interventional Suite campaign that will expand cardiac, stroke and aneurysm care at RCH.
