- 2 Mar 2013: Letter — To Mayor and Council saying that GWAC sent them a letter on 5 July 2012 about the future of the viaducts and the management of traffic in Strathcona, sharing concerns voiced by the Strathcona Residents' Association (SRA) on 13 June (http://strathcona-residents.org/viaducts/letter-from-the-chair). The Directors of GWAC are writing again to Mayor and Council to share concerns that the SRA has expressed in its 26 February letter to the Mayor (http://strathcona-residents.org/viaducts/2013-statement-on-viaducts-removal-and-Prior-Street-calming).
- 1 October 2012: Letter — To Mayor and Council containing a motion expressing concern about the Final Report of the Mayor's Task Force on Housing Affordability, to be heard at the Regular Council Meeting on 2 October.
The main clause reads: "Be it RESOLVED that Vancouver City Council is requested to receive the Final Report of the Mayor's Task Force on Housing Affordability [(MTF)] at the City Council meeting on Tuesday 2nd October, 2012, but to delay any decision(s) on the MTF recommendations until the public and organizations such as the Grandview-Woodland Area Council have had a reasonable length of time to study the MTF and to make their opinions known to Council;."
- 21 September 2012: Letter — To Park Board Chair Sarah Blyth (cc'd to the other Park Board Commissioners, and Manager of Park Development Tiina Mack) Council saying that the directors of GWAC supporting the local residents' request for a re-design of the playground at Salsbury Park which minimizes the negative impacts that the park may have on the surrounding neighbours.
Also sent: a redesigned park layout which residents received from parks staff on Wednesday, September 13. The residents are still concerned that the re-design does not address issues of theirs.
- 5 July 2012: Letter — To Mayor and Council saying that GWAC shares the concerns of the Strathcona Residents' Association and the community of Strathcona about the long-term problem of unacceptable traffic volumes on Prior and Venables Streets, created with the building of the Georgia and Dunsmuir viaducts in the 1970's.
- 28 March 2012: Letter — To Mayor and Council saying that GWAC's Directors endorse the 25 March letter to Mayor and Council from the Grandview Heritage Group about the "Next Community Plans" staff report to be considered by Council on Wednesday 28 March.
The report includes the Grandview-Woodland Community Plan Terms of Reference.
(GWAC's letter was sent to Mayor and Council several hours before the report was heard.)
- 26 March 2012: Letter — To Mayor and Council requesting that they vote against sending the rezoning to public hearing until the concerns raised by people in Grandview-Woodland and GWAC in its 10 December 2011 letter, have been addressed.

- 26 March 2012: Letter — To Mayor and Council saying that GWAC's Directors are deeply concerned about developments like the Rize Alliance proposal that in their opinion don't fit with the neighbourhood context.
GWAC supports the Residents Association of Mount Pleasant (RAMP) Vancouver in its efforts to bring the Rize Alliance proposal more in line with the scale of other buildings in the Mount Pleasant neighbourhood.
Finally, GWAC endorses the open letter to Mayor and Council by Libby Davies and Jenny Kwan about the Rize Alliance proposal.
- 14 January 2012: Letter — Letter expressing GWAC's support in principle for the idea of turning part of Woodland Park into a community garden, as described in the report "Woodland Park Community Garden: Community, collaboration and celebration in Grandview-Woodland" prepared by Carolyn Shaffer, Corin Browne, and Jordan Bober.
- 10 December 2011: Letter — To Karen Hoese (Rezoning Planner) and Brent Toderian (Director of Planning), by GWAC, expressing concerns about the proposed rezoning of 1870 East 1st Avenue and 1723 Victoria Drive from RT-5 to CD-1 for a supportive housing project.

- 18 September 2011: Letter — To Mayor and Council, by GWAC, about the Heritage Revitalization Agreement (HRA) proposed for 1250 Salsbury Drive (also referred to as 1298 and 1240 Salsbury Drive in the past) — The Jeffs Residence.
The "Conclusion" section in full is as follows: "Other than lamenting the loss of rental housing and seeking clarification as to why the proposed laneway access is not in violation of current applicable guidelines, GWAC supports the Heritage Revitalization Agreement for 1250 Salsbury Drive (Development Application No. DE414450)."

- 28 July 2011: Statement — To Mayor and Council, by GWAC's Directors, about the report Vancouver's Next Community Plans, to be discussed later that day at a meeting of Standing Committee of Council on Planning and Environment.

- 25 April 2011: Letter — To MOSAIC, supporting a proposal by MOSAIC and its partners to provide an Employment Services Centre for the Northeast Catchment Area in Vancouver.
- 25 April 2011: Letter — To MOSAIC, supporting a proposal by the DTES Alliance Group (DAG) to deliver the services of the Vancouver DTES Employment Services Centre to residents of the Downtown Eastside employment services catchment area (Nanaimo to Richards and Broadway to the Waterfront).
- 28 February 2011: Letter — To Mayor and Council, by Craig Ollenberger on behalf of GWAC, about a resolution passed by GWAC to preserve the heritage home at 1872 Parker Street (also known as 1015 Victoria Drive).
- 24 February 2011: Letter — To City Project Facilitator Michelle Au, by GWAC, about Development Application No. DE414450: 1298 Salsbury Drive (1240 Salsbury Drive and 1841 Charles Street), including plans to retain the Jeffs Residence heritage building as part of a heritage revitalization agreement (HRA).
The letter asks that when staff prepares its report about the application, they (1) review GWAC's past two letters and web page about 1298 Salsbury Drive, (2) consider what GWAC learned from City Hall staff in 2010 about the unencumbered (vacant) site, and (3) address GWAC's continuing concerns about access to parking, garbage, and recycling.
- 10 January 2011: Letter — To Mayor and Council, expressing concern about the proposed casino development at BC Place in downtown Vancouver and requesting that the rezoning of BC Place for this purpose be denied.
- 1 November 2010: Letter — To Jerry Dobrovolny, Assistant City Engineer, Transportation, containing GWAC recommendations about re-allocating road space in favour of pedestrians and cyclists in Grandview-Woodland.
The recommendations are refined from the “Share the Road” project initiated by Think City.

- 28 October 2010: Letter — To architect Timothy Ankenman, by GWAC, about the proposal to develop the 1240 Salsbury Drive/1841 Charles Street site, including plans to retain the Jeffs Residence heritage building.
The letter explains that the the first GWAC letter was correct in its statement of the number of units proposed for the site under an HRA and also correct that the vacant site could take five duplexes/ten units.
The letter also added information about problems with using the north-south lane to William Street for access to underground parking and garbage pickup for the site.

- 17 October 2010: Letter — To City of Vancouver Development Planner Bob Adair, by GWAC, about the proposal to develop the 1240 Salsbury Drive/1841 Charles Street site, including plans to retain the Jeffs Residence heritage building.
The letter provides some background information not supplied at a 15 September 2010 Open House about 1240 Salsbury/1841 Charles, and raises some concerns about the proposal.

- 22 September 2010: Letter — To Britannia Board of Management by GWAC, repeating many concerns about the Britannia Centre visioning process that were raised in a 29 March letter endorsed by GWAC.

- 10 June 2010: Letter — To Jerry Dobrovolny, Assistant City Engineer, Transportation, supporting the idea of the City's separated bike lane trial, and highlighting the opportunity for improving cycling facilities in the Grandview-Woodland area along Commercial Drive and Victoria Drive.

- 16 May 2010: GWAC has published the long form of its planned speech revised 18 May — To be heard at Public Hearing on 18 May, asking Mayor and Council to not rezone 2250 Commercial Drive from C-2C to CD-1 District.
The speech notes that neither the 8 April staff report nor the 7 May staff memo addressed the questions raised by GWAC in its letters of 9 November 2009 and 17 April.
— The speech points out that the three-page memo fails to even list — let alone address — GWAC's questions in its 17 April letter, despite Councillor Jang asking staff to do so at Council's meeting on 20 April.

- 9 May 2010: Letter — To Mr. Barry C. Glotman, President and Chief Executive Officer, West Coast Reduction Ltd (WCRL), about joining its Community Advisory Panel, contingent on WCRL acknowledging that it is the source of offensive odours, that the company will stop the odours, and that the only work of the panel will be a plan to stop the odours.
