DMPPP is a great fit for our stars and it could be for yours too. We have fun and challenging programs for 2s, 3s and 4s. To ensure that DMPPP is right for you and your child, we invite all prospective parents to come to our January 9th Open House. If you like what you see, then we have a fairly simple and straightforward process to register your child or children.
Step 1: Attend our Open House on Sunday, January 9th 2011 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
Before completing the enrolment forms for DMPPP, parents or caregivers are asked to either attend our Open House (children welcome at Open House) and/or to observe a class (adults only on observation day please) to experience first-hand our learning environment and what is involved in a parent participation preschool. One of the enrolment team will be available to explain some of the concepts around parental duty days, clean ups, jobs and general meetings. Parents and caregivers will also get an opportunity to observe how the teachers and children interact and to tour the facilities.
Step 2: Come to Open Registration - Saturday January 15th at 9am. with initial registration package forms completed.
An initial registration package consists of the following forms and can be obtained from one of the enrolment team members or by downloading and printing out the forms.
Step 3: Complete outstanding registration forms and submit them as you begin completing orientation hours (see below).
The following forms can be obtained by downloading and printing out the forms. They should be returned to a member of the enrolment team.
Step 4: Complete orientation hours
In order to participate in the preschool and be a duty parent, it is necessary to complete 5 hours of orientation for 2's duty parents or 10 hours of orientation for 3’s and 4’s duty parents. The required hours are obtained by attending the following events:
- attendance at Open house in January (1.5 hours each)
- attendance at classroom observation (after registration) (1.5 or 2.5 hours depending on class)
- attendance at Annual General Meeting in June (2.5 hours)
- attendance at Orientation in September (3 hours)
- attendance at General Meetings (3 hours each)
