If you live next to Cougar Creek, or walk regularly along one stretch or another, you may well be THE expert on the needs of that area.

Is there always lots of litter? Has English ivy invaded the understorey and climbed up the trees? Are there large patches of bare soil eroding into the creek? Are more shade trees needed to keep the water cool for fish? Do paths need clearer marking, to keep walkers from trampling the understorey plants? Is there a perfect site for a rain garden, to trap stormwater runoff before it pours directly into the creek? And so on ….
