Map showing meeting place at the Delta Nature Reserve

All volunteers are welcome, no experience needed, to help remove English ivy from several sites in the Delta Nature Reserve, along the upper (east) trail. Volunteers with sensitive backs or joints can cut tree-climbing ivy at chest height and pull it away from trunks.  Others can remove ivy from the ground.

Afterwards, enjoy a walk through the Delta Nature Reserve, including the delightful Burns Bog Boardwalk Loop.

Directions:  From 72nd Avenue just east of Highway 91, drive north on Blake Drive  to the traffic barrier at Blake Creek. We’ll meet there (street parking available), then walk a short distance to an ivy site.

Please wear sturdy shoes or boots, long pants, long sleeves, and bring your water bottle. Work gloves, tools and snacks are provided.
