The Chinese Community Library's book collection contains of over 26,000 books covering all fields of knowledge and fiction genres. There are popular novels for people who want a quick escape into an imaginary world of excitement, classics for people who want more serious reading, board books for small children, self help books to teach people different skills as well as informational books for students and researchers. There is also a basic reference collection for "in library" use.
The adult book collection is fully catalogued using the Li Yongxiang classification system. Books are arranged in call number order on the shelf.
