The Burney Ensemble 'travels' to London for this last concert of the season, for an evening of charming and
elegant duos, trios and quartets from the salons of Johann Christian Bach and Karl Friedrich Abel.
J.C. Bach and Abel were the darlings of the British upper class and their concert series, the Bach-Abel Concerts,
was a great success. Running from 1765-1781, this subscription series attracted the crème de la crème
of elite society and drew music and musicians from all over Europe.
