British Columbia Police & Peace Officer’s Memorial
TO: British Columbia Police & Peace Officer Agencies
File BBY 174-3 Aug 23, 2005
From Sergeant Dave Carr
The Burnaby Detachment of the RCMP has the honour of hosting this year’s British Columbia Police & Peace Officer’s Memorial. The service is set to take place on Sunday, September 25th at 11:00 am at Swangard Stadium. As in previous years, a parade of a large contingent of police and peace officers will precede the service. Following the service will be a reception at the Crystal Ballroom in the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown. This will provide an opportunity for all participants to socialize and reflect on the significance of the day.
Members, both serving and retired, are invited to be a part of the service and are requested to wear a dress uniform, duty uniform, or a suit. Please canvass your agency and let your committee representative or Sergeant Dave Carr know by September 14th as to how many members are expected to attend.
Attached you will find an information package that includes participant information, a committee contact sheet, a time line, a map of the site, and possible accommodations.
Sincerely,
Dave Carr, Sergeant Committee Chair Burnaby RCMP Burnaby Detachment 6355 Deer Lake Avenue Burnaby, BC V5G 2J2 |
