Biography of Citania Tam

 

Born in China, raised in Hong Kong, Citania Tam immigrated to the U.S. with her parents as a young adult.

 

Citania Tam was first involved with the Alliance for Preserving the History of Sino-Japanese War in 1996 through being one of the many participants in the rally to protest the visit of the Japanese Emperor to San Francisco.  She soon became an active member of the Alliance.  Some of her accomplishments are:  she organized the yearly memorial service for the Rape of Nanking, sponsored the Unit 731 Germ Warfare Atrocities Witnessing and Photo Exhibition Tour in 1998, and organized many small exhibitions at local schools and community centers.  She was the 1998 Chairperson of the Alliance.  She now serves as General Secretary of the Global Alliance.  Citania resides in San Francisco, California.
